Electronics Technician

The Procurement & Electronics Assembly department translates electronic designs into concrete products such as PCBs and housings, cabling, and measurement setups.

The electronic engineers in this department are responsible for assembling these products. They have access to equipment such as microscopes and advanced soldering stations, PCB assembly equipment for one-offs and small series, and rework and inspection equipment. Some of the work takes place in the cleanroom. In all cases, quality is paramount.

We are looking for someone with an MBO+ level of working and thinking. Because accuracy is a requirement in this position, we would like to see demonstrable experience of this in the form of a portfolio of small or large projects, preferably with detailed photos and explanations. These may be professional or hobby projects, or projects created for study purposes. Keywords are ‘precision’ and ‘creativity’.

Appointment will be in the position of Technician A on a temporary contract with NWO-I for a minimum period of one year. Salary will depend on education and experience, but will not exceed €4,634 gross per month (salary level 1-1-2026). The position is based in Leiden.
