We will eventually move within the Zernike Campus in Groningen to brand new labs, clean rooms and offices in the Feringa building, the new Faculty of Technology and Sciences of the University of Groningen.

The building accommodates 1400 students and 850 employees. It will have a research cluster with special low-vibration laboratories and clean rooms, an atrium, lecture halls, a conference centre and restaurant.

SRON will share the building with Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, Zernike Institute for Advance Materials, Stratingh Institute for Chemistry, Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute and, of course, the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Visiting and Parking

SRON Groningen is housed in the Kapteynborg, Landleven 12, located on the Zernike Campus of the University of Groningen. The parking lots around SRON Groningen are equipped with barriers. Parking there is possible for external visitors to SRON Groningen, by means of registration in advance. You will then be registered for one of the surrounding parking lots. Spontaneous visitors without registration can divert to parking P6, or P+R Reitdiep. From the latter, shuttles regularly travel to the Zernike campus. Your host or hostess can request registered parking for you in the lots nearby.
